Since joining Glass House in December 2018, Kirk has been at the forefront of cultivating exceptional flower with heart, precision, and a deep respect for the plant.

Kirk’s love for cultivation runs deep. “The plants are why I’m here… I’ve just always been obsessed with growing something out of nothing.” What began as a fascination with coaxing life from a seed or cutting has evolved into a decade-and-a-half long pursuit of perfection. For Kirk, it’s not just about getting a plant to grow, it’s about perfecting the grow, and nurturing it all the way through to harvest.

He isn’t just growing great cannabis; Kirk’s helping us shape the future of how it’s done. “We’re writing the script on how to do this stuff at scale” Every day in the greenhouse is an opportunity to innovate, refine, and redefine what it means to grow at scale without sacrificing quality. “How do you get a clean, potent product to market without compromise? With heart, and I don’t want to grow bad weed at all.”

While the environment of a greenhouse may seem like it gives growers total control, Kirk sees it differently. “A lot of people think in the greenhouse we play God, but we don’t… Whatever the plant does, whatever the plant wants, we’re here for it.” It’s a philosophy rooted in humility and dedication. And for Kirk, that devotion isn’t going anywhere. “I will be a slave to these plants for the rest of my life.”
