Our collaborative new line of limited batch cannabis kicks off with ORyan OG and OG Kush.

How can there be so many awesome people working in the cannabis industry? Perhaps we should be used to it by now, but it continues to blow us away.

Attend any cannabis expo and you’re sure to come away with new friends and fresh inspiration for amazing future cannabis creations. That’s just the nature of cannabis culture, even at the professional level —at the root of it all, we’re mostly just a bunch of folks who appreciate cannabis and want to cultivate it at the highest possible level.

For that very reason, Glass House Farms is stoked to be partnering with none other than Josh Del Rosso (aka Josh D) for the debut of a new line we’re calling the Casitas Project. As you may know, casitas is Spanish for ‘little houses’, though in our case, we like to think of it as more akin to little greenhouses.

Cultivated in limited batches, the debut of Glass House Farms Casitas Projects takes the form of two soon-to-be signature strains. Overall, the idea behind our Casitas Projects line is to showcase cannabis that’s been grown with the utmost care and in close partnership with some of the best people in the business. Providing an enticing way for Glass House Farms to showcase but a fraction of the cherished friends and partners we regularly rely on, it feels more than fitting that our launch would be co-anchored by the OG specialist, Josh D.

Josh’s devoted passion to OG Kush dates back 26 years. Josh has been exclusively cultivating OG Kush varietals since 1996! As a result, hewas among the first cultivators to couple hydroponic indoor growing with what would soon become one of the most famous cannabis varietals in history.

Having helped to shape West Coast cannabis culture for two decades (and counting), the majority of today’s California cannabis market isnow a derivative of the exact cultivar that was first made famous by Josh D Farms. With such a seasoned and serious focus on cultivating products using OG Kush genetics and hydroponic horticulture techniques, Josh D Farms offered the ideal opportunity forus to launch Glass House Farms’ Casitas Project.

Working hand-in-hand with Josh, we got down to the business of growing two strains —ORyan OG and OG Kush —in our signature, eco-friendly green houses. The results are some seriously gorgeous buds that you can count on to deliver that signature, unmistakable OG high. Want to meet the newest members of the Glass House Farms Strain Library?

Allow us to introduce you!

ORyan OG

Tell your tastebuds to get their hopes up: our ORyan OG won’t let them down. The worthy result of a collaboration between our in-house cultivation team and OG expert Josh D, ORyan OG is a perfect specimen: Dense flowers are covered in thick, super sticky, greasy trichomes that produce diesel-like terpenes. With its large, dense buds, this varietal is special to Josh, who named it after a close friend and fellow cultivator who passed away. Just like any good workmate, it will give you an emotional pick-me-up and inspire creativity and connection. Like other OG varietals, ORyan stems fromthe original (OG Kush Story) but has expressed some new characteristics after being under different growing conditions and nutrients for 10+ years.

OG Kush

To experience the Real OG Kush, you need to go for the Original. This is a branch of a branch off of the original plant that sparked the Kush craze in Los Angeles and changed the game forever. Cultivated in partnership with Josh D, Glass House Farms is excited to offer the original OG Kush, grown to perfection, under the Santa Barbara sun. This unique variety is tall and slender, with minimal coverage of large fat 3,4 and 5 fingered leaves that appear oily in the light and a super rich green glow. The budsare plump with fat, large bracts, and sparse rust colored hairs that are mostly retracted inside the swollen bracts. The trichomes have a very silvery, pearlescent effect, not white, and are almost greasy and slick to the touch. The aroma explodes with strong notes of hashy, candy gas, pine and skunk, with strong notes of kerosene fuel, peppery black licorice, with hints of lemon and lime. Once you’ve fired some up, you can expect a gradual head change and physical calmness in the head and body making it easy to zone out & lose track of time. Great for substantial stress relief, a memorable sunset sesh, or a reliable aide to unwinding after a long day this strain delivers the perfect blend of relaxing and uplifting feels without being overly sedative. Truly, a very enjoyable smoke that lives up to its reputation.
